Yes. For instructions on how to apply, please visit the Prospective Student webpage.
We require three (3) letters of recommendation for the ME application. Please be mindful that all letters must be submitted via the application portal, so emailed or mailed letters will not be accepted.
Recommenders should be faculty members who can speak to your ability to perform well in graduate school. While employment or lab supervisors may also serve as recommenders, at least one recommender must be a faculty member. We do not accept letters of recommendation from current PhD students.
BS/MSE Phase I applicants: Only one (1) letter of recommendation is required.
There is no word limit for your Statement of Purpose (SOP). Your SOP should be a summary of your academic and professional goals, as well as a description of the research work you have done in your past, and what research work you plan to do as a graduate student at UT. Please make sure these documents are edited to your liking before you upload them, for they cannot be deleted once they have been uploaded to your application.
