Chirag Gokani, Ph.D. student in the Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, has been awarded the Frederick V. Hunt Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Acoustics from The Acoustical Society of America.
Created in 1978, the Hunt Fellowship is given to one recipient per year and is open to all areas of acoustics. After Gokani’s graduation in Spring 2026, he will begin work with Professor Likun Zhang at the National Center for Physical Acoustics (NCPA) at the University of Mississippi.
Gokani is co-advised by professor Mark Hamilton and associate professor Mike Haberman, both Fellows of The Acoustical Society of America.
