Arumugam Manthiram, professor in the Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering, received the Faraday Medal Award from the Society for Advancement of Electrochemical Science and Technology (SAEST), India.
The award was presented in January 2025 by the Director-General of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research in India, Dr. Nallathamby Kalaiselvi. Manthiram delivered the Faraday Medal Award Lecture entitled 'What is Ahead with Electrical Energy Storage?'. This honor is given by the Michael Faraday Memorial Private Trust and Manthiram is the sixth recipient to date.
Manthiram currently holds the George T. & Gladys H. Abell Endowed Chair of Engineering.
