Undergraduate and graduate students in the Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering took home awards at the 2023 International Design Engineering Technical Conferences & Computers and Information in Engineering (IDETC-CIE) Conference hosted by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers this August. 

Ronnie Stone a first year Ph.D. student, and Phillip Gavino a senior, were runners-up for the 2023 Hackathon competition. Stone also received a Travel Award at the ASME-CIE Graduate Research Poster Session for his poster entitled "Toward Swarm Manufacturing: Developing a Multi-Robot Cooperative Framework for Complex Manufacturing Tasks". 

Additionally Siyu Chen, also a first year Ph.D. student, received the Travel Award at the Broadening Participation Poster Session for her poster entitled "Unknown Design Space Exploration Using Multi-Agent Bayesian Optimization".
