Summer Fellowship, Breakthrough Central Texas
Breakthrough Central Texas is currently hiring college students for a paid summer fellowship. All majors welcome, no experience needed!
The Position
- Fellows are trained by professional educators to be summer teachers to Breakthrough Middle Schoolers.
- They will teach 1 of 4 core subjects: English, Math, Science, or Social Studies - Plus an Exploration (elective) class of their choice.
- Fellows Build Community, become mentors, and help students avoid summer learning loss.
This is a chance for students to engage in a paid service term and meaningfully give back to the community. This is also great opportunity for anyone looking to break into the non-profit and education fields. Below are some great examples of the skills our summer fellows develop.
Compensation & Benefits
- Commitment Dates - June 6th through August 4th
- Living Stipend - $3000
- + $200 first time returner
- + $400 second time returner
- Education Award - $1,600 - upon completion of required service hours
- Benefits:
